Summer has finaly come to Norway. We live mostly outside.

This is the supper, at 8 PM.

St Hans's eve (23 July) is a big thing in Norway, especially in my province of Vestfold.

As you can see, I am still a flower child! :-)

For St Hans Eve, bonfires are lit all along the coast, near the sea or a lake.

This is a Colin Archer type boat. They were the Norwegian rescue boats and pilot vessels of the last century.

The air temperature was 24 C and the sea water, about 17 C. We both had a short swim from the boat.

Many have summer houses in the region. They are decorated with birch branches for the occasion.

This is a typical Norwegian fishing boat that is now used for recreational purpose.

The time is 10:30 PM and the bonfires starts lightning everywhere along the coast.

Sailing back to harbour. Two smaller bonfires can be seen. The time is 11:30 MP. These are the white nights of Scandinavia.
