| Varberg is on the Swedish coast, about two hours flight from Norway. Here, I am ready for the night with good tie down in a 22 knots wind. |
| The town has an old fortress, witness of the past wars between the Danes and Swedes. In front of the fortress, the "sea bad" where people bathed from in the prude early 1900s. |
| Happiness is good friends and a guitar. Here, Arne, Elisabeth and Odd-Tore. Arne's CT flies about twice as fast as my Kitfox! On the other hand, I enjoy twice as long to be in the air. :-) |
| There are planes that are even smaller than my Kitfox. Here is one. |
| ... And some are bigger. Here is the world's largest one-engine aircraft, the Antonov AN-2. ... no, it is not snow on my plane, it's a light nylon cover to keep the heat out of the cockpit. |
| But the weirdest aircraft of the show is this Blanik glider with ... two jet engines! Mind you, it burns 0.7 liter fuel per minute and needs 3,000 ft asphalt runway to take off so ... it's only an experiment. |
| Of course, much of the show is reserved to the veteran cars. The nice weather brought about everything that is slghtly original and has wheels, in Scandinavia ... and beyond. |
| There was also much aerobatic demonstration, "wing walking" and dual glider aerobatic. At the end, we had the visit of two Hawker Hunters. |
| On the way home, the beautiful Swedish archipelago. Tomorrow, my holidays will continue with the sailboat and I will be one of those masts. Michel Verheughe |
